Ballinger War Memorial HallHilltop Ukrainian Support Community

Ballinger War Memorial Hall is an attractive and versatile facility serving its community and available to all for hire. It has a particularly well–equipped kitchen and is the perfect venue for a special event, birthday or anniversary celebration.

The Hall was built in 1924 to commemorate the sacrifice made by local residents in the First World War and to serve as a community focal point for the villages of Ballinger, South Heath, Potter Row and Pednor. Today it provides the meeting place for community groups such as the Women’s Institute, the Horticultural Society and The Ballinger Decorative and Fine Arts Society.  It provides the venue for Pilates, yoga and other classes

The Hall is a registered charity governed by a Board of Trustees and operated by a volunteer Management Committee composed of local residents.  It is self-supporting and receives no government subsidy. The Hall exists to provide a meeting and function venue for local activities. Social groups, clubs and societies regularly use the hall and it provides a local focus for the community. Part of the function of the Management Committee is to organise social events that raise funds for the upkeep of the Hall, including quiz nights, summer barbecue and a pre-Christmas Village Morning featuring local stall-holders
